About William H. Lambe, Jr. (Bill)
With more than thirty years experience in private practice, Bill Lambe has helped
innumerable North Carolinian business and individual entrepreneurs with business
formation, maintenance, tax compliance, financing, business sale, employment
matters, contracts, dispute resolution, and general business planning. Bill
is the consummate counselor, adept at guiding clients through the process of
analyzing their options and making the best choice to serve their interests,
and the interests of their business, employees and family members. Bill practices
in the areas of corporate law and general business, including employment issues
and commercial real estate. Bill is devoted to remaining at the cutting edge
of the law in order to provide the highest value through service to his business
clients.
Experience
Bill was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has been engaged in the private
practice of law in Durham since 1973. He is a founding partner of Walker, Lambe, Rhudy & Costley, P.L.L.C., and is currently managing partner of the firm. In addition to his law
practice, Bill has served as past President and Treasurer of the Durham County
Bar Association, and as a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, North
Carolina Bar Association Real Estate Section Continuing Education Committee
(1991-94), North Carolina Bar Association Labor and Employment and Business
Law Sections, Durham County Bar Association, Fourteenth Judicial District Bar
(Treasurer, 1986-87; Vice President, 1990-91; President, 1992-93), North Carolina
State Bar, and a past member of the Board of Trustees of IOLTA. Bill has served
as vice chair of the Oversight and Implementation Committee for the North Carolina
Bar Association, which examined the delivery of legal services to the poor in
North Carolina.
Education
Mr. Lambe received a B.A. Degree in 1969 and a law degree in 1973, both from
Wake Forest University. During law school he was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal
Fraternity and was Managing Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review.
Personal
Mr. Lambe is married to Lindsay Lambe and has two adult sons. He was admitted
to the North Carolina Bar in 1973. He has served as Deacon and Ruling Elder
at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he also served at Clerk of Session.
